Covid 19 safety plan

At Rain City Tattoo our main focus has always been and will continue to be on the health and safety of our clients and crew. It is of the utmost importance to us that we continue to implement strict rules of sanitisation and cleanliness as well as follow new protocols in conjunction with Work Safe BC’s guidelines to fight the spread of
Covid - 19.

We have implemented changes to certain procedures within the shop to comply with Work Safe BC’s guidelines. Here is a list of the steps we are taking:

Our occupancy limit is a maximum of 15 people inside the shop at one time to conform to social distancing guidelines.

Entry to the shop will be by appointment only and will be limited to one client in the waiting area at a time. Clients will be asked to wait outside in marked areas or in their cars until we are able to accept them inside the shop. We have marked outside waiting areas to adhere with the physical distancing guidelines.

At this time clients will not be able to bring friends to appointments. We will ask that clients please only bring what is necessary leaving jackets, bags or extra items at home or in their car.

It will be mandatory for all persons within the shop to be wearing a mask at all times. If clients do not have their own mask a disposable one will be provided for them. We will ask that all persons entering the shop use the hand sanitizer provided at the front entrance. There will also be hand sanitizer at every artists station as well as in all common areas.

Release forms will no longer be filled out when clients arrive. They will be posted on the website and clients will be directed to fill them out prior to their appointment.


All clients must answer a questionnaire prior to their appointment:

• Have you experienced any symptoms of a cold or flu such as a fever, fatigue, cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing or any general unwellness in the last 14 days?

• Have you been in contact with anyone who has experienced any symptoms of a cold or flu such as a fever, fatigue, cough, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing or general unwellness in the last 14 days?

• Have you traveled outside of British Columbia or outside of Canada within the last 14 days?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions clients will be required to contact the shop through email or by phone to rebook their appointments and will be denied entrance to the shop.

We have implemented additional surface cleaning measures to our already strict cleaning regime. This will include extra sanitizing of all commonly touched surfaces and areas including our entrance way, washroom, common areas, doorknobs, counters and equipment used by multiple people. Artists portfolios will no longer be displayed but may be viewed online by visiting our website.

The artist stations are located a minimum of 2 meters apart and stations now have protective barriers between them as an added precaution. The artists stations are always thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between clients which we will continue to do.

Artists will continue to maintain their cross contamination standards through the use of surface barriers, surface disinfectants and disposable equipment including PPE’s. The artists will follow strict hand washing guidelines when they are not tattooing including after breaks and after handling cash.

Consultations may be done online through email or virtually if agreed upon by the client and the artist. Any consultations done within the shop will be booked to follow social distancing protocol and will follow the same procedures as mentioned above.

Cell phones within the shop are discouraged. If a client must bring their cell phone for emergencies it will be sanitized upon entering the shop.

Food and drink will not be permitted in the shop. Our waiver states all clients should eat prior to their appointment
